Starcraft 2 (aka: StarCraft II Wings of Liberty)

It looks like I wont be able to just jump (Futuristic Warfare) right into a level but have to learn a little more strategy then (Fast-paced, hard-hitting) I did with the first StarCraft. Thinking of the first game (competitive real-time strategy gameplay) now brings back memory’s. Good memory’s of a (Protoss, Terran, and Zerg) fantastic winter break where all I did was play StarCraft for 8+ (mechanics further distinguish each race) hours a day for almost four weeks.
I can’t wait for StarCraft II. (Groundbreaking SP) The only thing I hope is that Blizzard wont wait another (Vibrant new 3D-graphics engine) 12 years for StarCraft III, but I’m sure they will.

Tom Clancys Splinter Cell: Conviction

Splinter Cell Conviction Review: Graphics are good, using Unreal technology (third echelon in a dark) to power it’s in game engine, although looking pretty, (personal story of vengeance) Ubisoft decided to use low res cut scenes to tell (return to the shadows) a story and in 2010, they should have kept the game (leave enemies wondering where u went) narrative in game instead of using cut scenes that looked (featuring the voice of Michael Ironside) like something out of 01.

Gameplay: Ubisoft talked heavily on (Classic Splinter Cell play) weapons modification yet putting a rail or reflex sights don’t give you a (intense combat and faster) zoomed first person cross hair as if you were looking (more fluid action) down a sight and only allows this option on rifles…..this (mark and execute) its more cosmetic then practical for those that would (quickly and quietly) have liked to have been able to look down sights while using (take out multiple opponents) pistols instead of a zoomed cross hair.

The Games Machine

The developers of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada openly wanted to create a videogame with a feeling as close as possible to the original board game, and to that extent, their goal is achieved. The single player campaign feesl a little bit repetitive from time to time, but overall, fans of strategy games and Warhammer 40.000 will be more than pleased. Read full

Battlefleet Gothic is a mixed bag. The slow pace hinders a game that should be all about letting you jump in to epic space battles but as you develop, leveling up ships and customising your fleet to what you want, it does prove itself to be a strong contender. Read full

God is a Geek

Despite some minor frustrations Battlefleet: Gothic Armada is a fun RTS that isn’t too unwelcoming to people new to the genre. Read full

This RTS game is very challenging to master and will need a lot of time for you to be crafty with the different skills, manoeuvres and tactics. Not a game for everyone though. A must try for all Warhammer 40k fans. Read full

Hooked Gamers

Battlefleet: Gothic Armada is a competent if slightly laborious first foray into the realms of Warhammer 40,000’s space battles, but there is potential here. As Dawn of War II changed almost all the elements of its precursor for the better, it will be interesting to see what Tindalos would do next were it to return to this franchise. Read full

Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom

The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom
review: Graphics are great, your citizens are smart, (Build a kingdom in three different ways) the Settlers 7 offer a nice blend of complex and easy to make decisions. (Includes a new graphic engine) The fact that gold is not circulating into the economy is nice (new victory points system) as it saves you alot of the usually involved micromanagment. (Take on friends in competitive) The big bummer for me was the DRM. The game stops if you lose internet connection! (cooperative multiplayer action) Seriously, If I knew that before I bought the game I would (Includes a bonus map) have used my money on DA origin expansion. I should be able (castle accessories, and the official soundtrack) to play my single player games when I want, however I want and while connected or not. (including user-generated and downloadable content) Such a shame seeing a good game with this stupid limitation.

Plain Sight

review: Plain Sight, it’s a slightly cell shaded style (Plain Sight is crazy) if anything the screenshots don’t do it justice (frantic, and fun) because you miss all the cool movement and gravity (fun multiplayer game) effects as you bound around the landscape.
