GameInfo: Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, sees VVilamette survivor and hero of Dead Rising, photojournalist Frank West, take centre stage as players experience a very different interpretation of events in this, a reimagining of the Fortune City outbreak. This alternate storyline means an all nevv Dead Rising 2 experience; vvith Frank facing nevv missions, nevv enemies, nevv combo-weapons with vvhich to defeat them plus a brand nevv Fortune City attraction to explore. Complimenting the nevv narrative and action of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record are enhancements to elements such as the save system and the co-op experience to deliver more satisfying gameplay.
|Attack of the Fanboy: Dead Rising 2: Off The Record isn’t a bad game by any means. It can have its moments of fun, and their are times when it will give you a chuckle that’s for sure. It’s that overwhelming feeling that I’m beeing duped that really gets me with Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. The near carbon copy story does little to deviate itself from the original, while not making a very clear stance of when and why Frank is going through a near identical quest to Chuck. |GameZone: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, a re-envisioning of Dead Rising 2. Off the Record stars the first game’s main character. While it is fun an humorous, it feels like a missed opportunity to take Frank West and make something new for him. Read Full Review||70/100|
