Mars Colony: Challenger Review and System Requirements

At first I thought this game is a base building game but in actuality it is a task oriented game and very little in terms of bulding. You can make items and food but they are limited in variety. It’s all about survival in it’s simplest sense so don’t expect a lot customability. In fact, base modules are added automatically every mission phase so you don’t even get to build your modules. In terms of completeing missions, the game litterally throw you to the deepest end of the pool because you WILL be confused with what to do. However, in reality, the first 4 phases are actually pretty easy to pass that is if you spend the time reading the mission tutorial thoroughly and run through it a couple times.
In fact the mission work orders don’t need to be followed step-by-step as long as you know what has to be completed. Once you are at the fifth phase, things get a bit more interesting and you’ll find yourself swamp with work while you are trying to keep yourself alive.

Overall feeling: If you like task oriented game or generally want to get a feel of what a Mars would be like, I think this game is for you. If you want a sandbox game, then I probably wouldn’t recommend this game.

Verdict: 75/100

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Review (The expansion pack that Diablo 3 needed)

Loot 2.0+ patches, adventure mode, bounties, new act, new character, new weapons, auction houses gone, new everything. The patch Blizzard released about 2 weeks ago (loot 2.0) has been amazing. Legendary items are dropping at much better rates, auction houses are gone, and everyone is truly playing the game now – not spending all their time farming for items to sell on auction houses. With the expansion now out, we now have adventure mode, my personal favorite addition. No longer do you have to restart games to play different acts. Also another big change is now most gear that drops is catered to your character. No more do I have to loot a bunch of Wizard stuff for my Barb. They added the crusader, a new act, plus the various changes to the game – that basically changed the entire game.

Yes, PvP is still missing. I honestly don’t think it will ever be here. Trading is also still missing, with drop rates increased (you really don’t need to). Also, items are bounded to account – which basically means you cannot drop or share items with other players.

Let’s face it, this game has A LOT of haters. I am a long D2 fan (who played LoD for 8+ years). At first I didn’t like D3, but this new loot 2.0+ patch (no more auction houses) plus expansion has really sparked my interest and love for the Diablo series again. I have played them all, Torchlight 1-2, Sacred 2, PoE, etc etc. None compare to the depth Diablo 3 + RoS can give to you as a player.

In my opinion, this is now a fully functional 85/100 game. I wish there was a trading scheme, but with the drop rates improved it’s not making me worry too much.

Verdict: 85/100

Blackpowder Games’ Anticipated Debut Title ‘Betrayer’ is Now Available for Download Through Steam

Independent studio Blackpowder Games announces the release of its first-person action adventure game, Betrayer, the self-funded debut title from the creative team known for the acclaimed No One Lives Forever series and the original F.E.A.R.

Now available on Steam, Betrayer is an eerie, suspenseful action adventure in which players traverse a mysteriously abandoned New World colony in 1604, trying to piece together what happened to its inhabitants and survive the supernatural threats they encounter along the way.

“Betrayer is the kind of game we’ve been wanting to make ever since we shipped FEAR,” says the game’s designer and writer, Craig Hubbard. “You can explore large, open environments in search of clues and loot. You can tackle challenges aggressively or stealthily. You can outfit yourself with the equipment that best suits your play style. It’s a very player-driven experience.”

The game was initially released in alpha form as part of Steam Early Access in August of 2013, which allowed for months of additional development and refinement with input directly from the community. Many new features were added, including new game mechanics, UI improvements, and contrast and color sliders that let players customize the look of the game to their liking.

Installing new 850 EVO SSD with fresh copy of windows 10

Hello, I just got a 500 gb 850 evo ssd. i’d like to install a fresh windows 10 onto it so that my computer boots up using win10. currently, i use a HDD with windows 7 on it.

I have the sata-to-usb3.0 cord and made the partition MBR – NTFS (since I don’t have UEFI installed – use BIOS). now, will the fact that i already selected a partition be a problem? I got ahead of myself. And at this point I’m a bit confused on what to do next? Should I check the SSD alignment at this point? Should I install win10 onto my usb using the media creation tool? Should I change to AHCI from IDE (I have the intel 7 series chipset sata ahci controller)?

When should I take out my HDD and replace it with the SSD? I’d appreciate a bit of help on the order of things to do here

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Review and System Requirements

This game is a pure fun Beat ‘Em up/Hack & Slash vvith some amazing artvvork and graphics. The graphics kind of remind me of a 90’s gory comic book style and the humor is like FC3: BloodDragon. I’ve been playing almost non-stop since I bought it and having a blast.

Sure this game isn’t 4 everyone but if you like the artvvork and don’t mind TONS of gore and b-rated humor vvith some great beat ’em up gameplay, you’ll love this.
They did a great job on the PC version too, the gameplay and action is very fluid on PC.
