RAINBOW SIX: SIEGE
A return to good ol’ fashioned strategy in the first-person shooter genre, Rainbow Six: Siege matches its explosions with smarts. It’s got a Counter-Strike vibe (which is no bad thing) and, if it delivers on its promising concept, should dominate PC online next year.
RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER
We don’t know much about the follow-up to the excellent Tomb Raider revival, other than it’ll have Lara pitting her survival skills against nature once again. Oh, and the fact she’ll actually raid tombs this time.
Ubisoft has promised a lot when it comes to The Division. More than just a drab post-apocalyptic open-world shooter, this is a drab post-apocalyptic openworld shooter with RPG elements. Make a note on your calendar.
THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT
The PC had been lacking a proper epic RPG until Dragon Age: Inquisition came around. But there’s something about the scale and diversity of The Witcher 3 that looks to blow away the competition. We’re very excited.
STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT
Next year we’ll have a new Star Wars Battlefront game and a new Star Wars movie. Which will be better? Our money is on DICE to deliver the goods in a galaxy far, far away in 2015.
BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT
It’s time to don the cape and cowl again and take to the streets of Gotham and pound goons into shades of black and blue (but definitely not kill them). Delayed until June, Arkham Knight is shaping up to be the ultimate Batman game.
